The season

The season marked the return of the men's senior team to HSÍ league competition — for the first time in a long while. Spanish coach Carlos Martin Santos took over and led the team in the men's 2nd division, with Steinar Bjarki Marinósson and Bragi Rúnar Axelsson in supporting roles. A historic first win came on 8 December 2019 — 37-35 against ÍR U at Torfnes. The season's top scorer was captain Óli Björn Vilhjálmsson (73 goals), followed by Aleksa Stefanovic (67) and Daníel Wale Adeleye (66). Despite finishing bottom of the league, the team was offered a place in the 1st division for the next season — recognition of the rebuilding work.
